Hilton Unveils New Small Meetings Offerings

This article reintroduces an idea/trend that Hilton had/grew (starting in 2000) in regards to small meeting rooms and how fancy shmancy and appealing they are to meetings with 50 or less attendees.
Hilton always seems to do a good job with introducing solid, thought out ideas. Some other companies just throw an idea out there, think it sounds catchy and trendy and goes all out. These meeting rooms that Hilton is investing in seem to fit the needs a few different trends of recent times.  These rooms are high tech, low environmental impacting, and the perfect size.  There are few things cooler than flip pads that digitally record whats been written on them and are then transmitted to people who are networked into the meeting from outside the hotel.  This time, "Going Green" doesn't just mean special lights, its much more proactive, and cost effective. "Going Green" only works when you're "Saving Green ($$)."  Linen-free tables with hard surfaces means less labor, fewer things to wash and less chemicals to use.  The other great part of focusing on the smaller meeting rooms is that companies are being much more cost sensitive and trying for smaller, more intimate meetings.  This has also become more popular since meetings have been able to be held on-line, eliminating the need for a ballroom with 300+ seats.
